Dan Schantz Farm & Greenhouses operates four locations and a retail store with over 50 acres of greenhouse growing range. For over 50 years, they have been a major grower of flowers, annuals, vegetables, herbs, special blooming plants, garden mums, poinsettias and foliage across the East Coast.
In 1999, Dan Schantz was rapidly expanding. With multiple locations and a retail store,
they needed an IT partner that could unify their locations, while supporting a diverse set of technologies. With such a large operation, they required a team of experts that could respond 24/7 due to heavy production cycles, and holiday store hours.
SOLUTION
For more than 20 years, Simply IT has been Dan Schantz’s IT Partner. Simply IT provides design\build services and ongoing support for all aspects of the multi-location infrastructure. Simply IT also implemented and maintains their point-of-sale and phone solution. They have also developed several custom software solutions to combine major business applications, as well as, simplify complicated employee processes. Additionally, Simply IT provides support for some of Dan Schantz’s ancillary systems, such as, greenhouse automation and their fuel distribution systems. Furthermore, Simply IT designed their disaster recovery solution to insure their systems are always protected.
